Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu Basic Forms Cannot Capture the Essence of the Art by Simply Tracing It

I am often asked what the quintessence is, but I recognize that it is a form of the human form. I believe that this means recognizing that each individual is not the same, and that if you do the same thing over and over again, you will never be able to stand in the same line. Even if you copy the basic form of a technique from a book, you may be able to stand on the same plane on the surface, but there is a difference between someone who understands and works on sharpening and someone who is happy to have achieved a similar form.

There's a difference in the amount of sharpening between those who are good at maneuvering and remembering and those who question why they have to put their feet up.

There is a book created by my teacher. This is a book that divides all the techniques of Ichi-Kajo (Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu up to Shodan) into 10 levels. It is a masterpiece that contains foot and hand movements so precisely that anyone can learn Shodan-level kata by following the instructions in this book. I recommend that beginners up to Shodan purchase this book. Unfortunately, you have to be a member to purchase the book. Once you have the book, you must be taught by a sensei or you may understand the surface of the book, but you will never understand the essence behind it.
