Q.I don't understand Japanese well.
A. Training is basically conducted in Japanese, but if you bring a handbook or other materials translated into Japanese from your own country and try to memorize them, you will be fine. You can communicate to some extent through body language.
Q.I would like to travel while I am in Japan.
A. If you wish to stay out overnight, you need only apply for it.
Q.How much luggage do I need to bring with me when I travel?
A. Please come to Japan with a suitcase and a backpack if possible. Washing and personal items can be arranged in Japan. If you need medication, please consult with your doctor in advance.
Q. If I get injured or become ill while in Japan, will I have to pay for the actual medical expenses?
A. If you are coming to Japan for a long period of time, you will be covered by Japanese medical insurance. If you are eligible for coverage, you can receive medical care at 30% of the cost.
Q.Is it easy to get injured during practice?
A. You will practice techniques according to your skill level, but it is necessary to be considerate and caring toward your opponent. Please practice hard to avoid injury.
Q.I am planning to study for one year.
A. It depends on the degree of perfection of the technique. Of course, we will teach you, but it depends on how well you understand the technique and practice it. In Japan, this is called "improving the level of skill," and we ask that you make an effort to understand the techniques.
Q.I have a disability and cannot train as well as an able-bodied person, but is it still possible to learn?
A. If you have a disability that does not require nursing care, it may take some time, but I think it is possible to learn. There are many difficulties, but please consult with us at the time of application.
Q.Can I get a refund if I have to return to my country during the course of the program?
A. Basically, there are no refunds. The fee is for operating expenses, so no matter how long or short the remainder of the term is, refunds will not be accepted.
