Those whose skills are not up to par are not allowed to extend their training, so they can return to their home countries to improve their skills and then take the dan test again the following year after 30 days of practice.
Promotion
To attain Ippikyu, a student must be under the guidance of a Shodan or above.
Only those who have received permission from the Yamato-kai Soji can be exempted from promotion to a higher grade or rank.
The number of uchi-deshi accepted at one time is limited to 5 per dan holder.
Instruction and training must take place in a martial arts hall.
Only basic training outside or in a room by oneself is allowed.
